Total Time: 10 – 15 minutes Makes: 1 medium dough pizza
Here’s an easy recipe I use when My family is hungry and I don’t want to make them wait long. Its fast and its fun to make and its really easy when I have my four year old daughter helping me with everything. She puts her own toppings on and does most of the mixing.You can make this dough with your choice of white or whole wheat flour.
2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 package active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1 1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp oil of your choice (vegetable or canola is fine)
Step One: What I do is to fill a measuring cup with 1 cup of warm water. Take the yeast and pour it into the water, mixing with a fork until it has dissolved.
Step Two: take a Medium sized mixing bowl and add 2 1/2 cups of flour together with the sugar, oil,
and salt. Leaving a 1/4 cup of flour for use after the water has been added.
Step Three: taking the water with the yeast in it pour it over the flour and mix it with a fork or spoon. It should form together fairly quick. You may notice that the ingredients has made the dough quite sticky if so add some extra flour to the mix until it is no longer sticking to your hands too much.
Step Four: Take the dough and form it into a ball, let the dough rest five minutes no less!!!
Step Five: While you wait for the dough to set prepare you pizza pan by greasing it with oil or butter.
Step Six: Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Step Seven: After you pan is ready and five minutes has passed, flour your hands up and place the dough ball on the greased pizza pan. Knead the dough down against the pan to desired thickness, forming a circle as you go along.
Step Eight: Add Sauce, cheese and any other toppings you enjoy on a pizza
Step Nine: Put pizza in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes.
Step Ten: Remove pizza allow 5-7 minutes to cool
Step Eleven: Enjoy!!!
